Foods under 40 Calories

Don’t you all wish for certain foods to be calorie-free? Well, it can almost be true with some foods who are less than 40 calories that are very healthy and help with your weight loss! Here’s a list of our favorite almost-zero-calorie food

Asparagus: It is a detoxifying food and a powerhouse of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, E, and K, B6, folate, iron, copper, and even protein. You can grill it and eat it alongside eggs!

Tomatoes: They contain lycopene, an antioxidant rarely found in other foods. Studies suggest that it could protect the skin against harmful UV rays, prevent certain cancers, and lower cholesterol. They are delicious in any salad or even cooked.

Cabbage: It packs vitamins, minerals, fibers, and several phytonutrients thought to prevent cancer. You can eat it in a salad or even in a main dish as stuffed cabbage.

Lettus: Romaine lettuce is a great source of B vitamins, folic acid, and manganese, which helps regulate blood sugar and is essential for proper immune system function. Eat it with salads or add it to your cooked meals.

Mushrooms: Just about all mushrooms contain some form of immune-boosting antioxidants, along with potassium, B vitamins, and fiber. You can almost eat mushrooms with anything, salads, proteins, or just stuff them.

Zucchini: It packs lots of vitamin A, and is so simple to prepare raw or cook it.

Carrots: They are very low in saturated fat and cholesterol. It is also a good source of thiamin, niacin, vitamin B6, folate and manganese, and a very good source of dietary fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, and potassium. It is very simple to eat raw at any times or cooked with your favorite meals.
