Rice Pudding With Coconut Milk

This traditional Asian dish is a tasty feast for a special celebration loved by young and old thanks to the aromatic flavor and tastes delicious

The Recipe Features

- You can add cardamom or saffron for that special occasion

Ingredients Description

2 cups of Abukass Rice boiled

1 cup full-fat milk

½ cup cream

1 cup coconut milk

1 cinnamon stick

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon salt

¾ cup sugar

¼ cup dried raisins soaked in water and refined

Small cubes of canned fruit for garnish


In a large saucepan stir milk and coconut milk and cream with cinnamon and vanilla and salt and set over medium heat until it boils, then add the rice and leave the mixture to combine for another five minutes. Keep stirring to make sure the rice does not clot together

Reduce the temperature, but leave the mixture bubbling without stirring. Cover occasionally for about 20 minutes until all the rice absorbs the liquid and you have a decent thickness

Add the sugar and raisins and mix well and then put the mixture aside to cool completely

Divide the pudding into small serving dishes or in a big serving tray


Decorate the pudding with mango pieces or pineapple
